“Pericles” lives on a small Greek island from where he has a unique view on what is going on in the world. He gathers his information from satellite rolling news channels, the Internet, and from his many friends, colleagues, acquaintances and correspondents all over the world. He writes in English as that has become the world’s international language. He hopes that this blog will help start debate, discussions, and comment from all points of view, and that it might help to point the world in a better direction than it is going now. He hopes it will become a kind of forum for opinions and discussion and welcomes anybody’s opinion as long as it is relevant and lucid.
The original Pericles was one of the first people in ancient Greece who tried to bring justice for all people, and fought for a truly democratic society. He was not perfect (but who is?), but he did his best, and did it very well.
